がらくた (garakuta) — junk. odds and ends.
The bits you can't quite bring yourself to throw out because maybe they'll be useful one day. This is where projects come to live, evolve, get half-rewritten, occasionally collide — and every once in a while, graduate into something real.
what is this
Most software gets built once, shipped, and forgotten. We keep the scraps instead.
garaku-yard is a two-person studio that treats unfinished projects like raw material, not failures. Attractor's simulation grew into a reusable engine. A weekend experiment turns into the only tool you reach for. Nothing here is wasted — it's just waiting for its second life.
We show the pile in public, ship when it's honest, and preserve the rest as fossils so the lineage stays visible. If you've ever kept a box of cables "just in case," you already understand the philosophy.
mottainai, but for code — waste nothing
currently
REF-001A first-person game about coaxing a living ecosystem out of a dead planet. No tech tree: you set the conditions, and real, deterministic science decides what lives.
REF-002A writing studio for long-form work: nine format-native editors, a beat board, a markdown vault, and files that stay on your machine.
REF-003The studio’s mission control. Every repo orbits one live board, and every coding agent starts knowing where things stand and leaves its work there.
REF-004Ask Orbit a question out loud and hear the answer, live from the board. A voice with no memory of its own, built so it cannot change a thing.
A LAN-only way to control a real tmux coding session from another browser or the bundled Android client.
An offline-first shared-expense tool built for real personal use, with private books and a self-hosted relay rather than public SaaS ambitions.
REF-007Your career as a pixel-art island. Milestones become buildings, growth becomes land, and visitors walk through it under your sky and your season.
REF-008A released desktop pixel-art dinosaur companion whose needs follow the wall clock, even while the window is closed.
The studio’s public workshop wall and the upstream home of its Kraft Paper and Blueprint Navy identity.
who & what for
The yard is small on purpose. Two people keep the pile alive.
Everything here comes out of one small yard in Prishtinë. There are no clean department lines: a game can produce an engine, a writing app can sharpen the collaboration tools, and the problem of remembering it all can become Orbit. Work drifts from project to project; the useful parts stay in the yard.

the constitution
Ship something. Eventually. Maybe.
Every project starts in a terminal. Graphics are a reward, not a right.
If it stops being fun, it goes on the pile.
The pile is sacred.
Steal from yourself before you start from scratch.
A fossil is preserved, never deleted.
// dispatches from the pile
No schedule, no spam — just the occasional dispatch when a project crawls off the pile and becomes something real. Rarely more than a few times a year.
